BrokenKeystone ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information through the BrokenKeystone mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect

1. No Personal Information Collected

  • We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information (e.g., name, email, location, device identifiers, or any identifying data).

  • No accounts or logins are required.

  • Journal entries and all user-created content are stored only on your device using encrypted local storage and never leave your device.

2. Anonymous Analytics (Optional & Minimal)

We use a privacy-preserving, third-party analytics service (Firebase Analytics provided by Google) solely to understand how the app is used in order to improve it. This analytics collection is completely anonymous and contains no personal data. Specifically:

  • No advertising ID, no IP address (anonymized), no device identifiers, and no user identifiers are collected.

  • Data collected is limited to aggregated, non-identifiable events such as:

    • Which general sections are visited (e.g., “Historical Issues” category opened)

    • App launches and session duration

    • General journey stage progression (e.g., “User moved from Early Doubts to Deep Research”)

  • This helps us know which topics are most needed without ever knowing who you are.

3. No Advertising, No Tracking, No Third-Party Sharing

  • The app contains no ads and no third-party tracking SDKs beyond the optional anonymous analytics described above.

  • We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.

Data Security

Your journal entries are stored locally using iOS-standard encrypted storage and are protected by your device’s passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13. No personal data is collected in any case.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted with an updated “Last updated” date.
